Lehigh Career Services
Fall Job Fair
Thursday, October 30th
10:00AM – 2:00PM – Community Services Center, Main Campus, Schnecksville, PA
Come meet with employers looking to fill full-time, part-time, seasonal and internship opportunities.
This job fair is for LCCC students and alumni. However, we do welcome the general public to attend. All attendees should be dressed professionally and have plenty of copies of their resume with them.
Are you ready to GROW? We are Lehigh Carbon Community College's women's networking group brought to you by the Career Development Center. There are opportunities for personal development, connections with Alumni and other female LCCC students and staff.
Brown Bag Brag Sessions will be from 12:00 noon – 1:15 pm to accommodate students who have classes ending at 12:15 pm or starting at 12:30 pm. Students are encouraged to bring a lunch. The atmosphere is friendly and casual – all LCCC women are invited to attend. Themed discussions are designed to build students’ communication skills, career awareness, and confidence.
Monday, October 13: Professional Dress
Can you imagine wearing your ski jacket to a Fourth of July Barbecue? Or flip flops to shovel the snow? Wow – how inappropriate?! It’s even more important to be dressed appropriately for a job fair or a job interview! The Job Fair or Interview is the employer’s first impression of you; don’t blow it by displaying tattoos, piercings, hairstyles, or clothing that may not be in accordance with the employer’s dress code policy. Come learn how to dress for the job search – and hear about how you can get your interview outfit for FREE.

Monday, October 27: How to Work a Job Fair - Using Your Elevator Pitch
Two lovebirds strolling through the job fair while holding hands. An excited freshman speaking to employers while his mom asks questions too. The girl who chomps on her wad of gum while occasionally blowing bubbles. Do these sound like great first impressions for employers? Well, they’re not. Attend this session to learn about how to work a job fair, how to create your elevator pitch (a short speech you should prepare to introduce yourself to employers), and tips for not blowing it! Don’t miss this fall’s job fair at Lehigh Carbon Community College (Schnecksville) on Thursday, October 30th.
Tuesday, November 4: Networking and LinkedIn (job fair follow up)
In today’s business world, 80% of jobs are obtained through networking. Just as Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites, LinkedIn is the most commonly used professional networking site. Let us show you how to use LinkedIn to build a profile and to create your network
Monday, November 10: Confidence Check Up
You need a check-up – a confidence check-up, that is. This will be a great opportunity for all students to discuss your progress. For any student who took the Confidence Quiz at our October 7th G.R.O.W. session, please bring your laptop.
